How long had Perfect By Design been going?

Perfect By Design, has been going for 30 years, initially starting out in interior window furniture, plantation shutters and blinds. We have over the years entered new spaces, specifically; kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and more recently outdoor spaces.

As a business, wherever possible, we always try to work with suppliers that have green and sustainability initiatives.

Simply put, yes. All our products and services are bespoke or made-to-measure, This does mean slightly slower lead times, but also means you get that one-of-a-kind space in your home. Which always makes the slightly longer wait… worth it.

Of course, wherever we can, we always try to turnaround our projects in the quickest and most efficient time possible.

To make an appointment, you can call us on 0300 373 5872, email us at sales@perfectbydesign.co.uk or visit one of our showrooms.

Of course, all our kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor spaces and shutters come with a 3 year product guarantee and a 10-year workmanship guarantee (Installation).

The only exception is our Interior Design Service. This is simply due to the fact that it is a consultation, and the steps that follow, require the customers acknowledgement and sign-off before products are sourced, or installation begins.

We are more than happy to provide you with pricing information, to give you a guided price, but we do not provide comprehensive estimates for any service over the phone. This is due to the specifics of your space, and the nature of the products and finishes that you are looking for.

Our products should last forever, but we appreciate that sometimes, things get accidentally damaged. In these instances, we are normally happy to come out and make the necessary repairs, however, please be aware each instance is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Absolutely. We have an in-house team of designers, ready and willing to help you plan your space. We listen to your needs and preferences, and then provide you with clear options along with our professional recommendations that suit your style and needs.

Our interior design advice is inspired on your preferences, so that you can get what you want, within the budget you have.

Our average lead times can vary, subject to the product and service you use. As a guide, our kitchen and Bathrooms can be turned around within 3-4 weeks, whereas our shutters can take up to 14 weeks. The varying factor is typically the specifications; bespoke, made-to-measure elements can take longer.

A pergola is somewhat like a gazebo, but it’s a permanent structure.

They’re essentially composed of beams and posts which forms an open framework over an area in your garden.

It depends on the material, for wood, metal and plastic you can use a pressure washer or scrub with some hot soapy water.

Rattan can’t be cleaned with a pressure washer, though, and needs cleaning with warm, soapy water.

Don’t forget to take the cushions off first!

You typically don’t need planning permission for a pergola in the UK if it’s a freestanding structure in your back garden, no taller than 2.5 metres when close to a boundary (or up to 3 metres elsewhere), and doesn’t take up more than 50% of your outdoor space when combined with other buildings. As long as it’s open-sided with a slatted or non-solid roof, and your property isn’t listed or in a conservation area, it’s usually covered under permitted development rights.

It depends on the vibe you’re going for. The best way to light an outdoor living area is by layering different types of lighting to create a warm, functional space. Combine ambient lighting like string lights or wall lanterns with task lighting for cooking or reading, and add accent lights to highlight features like plants or decking.

The best place to start is in your choice of materials, like powder coated metal for example. Try to keep everything dry and clean and you should be good for a long time.

Put simply, no you don’t. An outdoor kitchen isn’t considered a permanent structure so you don’t need any special permits for it.

Absolutely! An outdoor kitchen, like any outdoor enhancement, can really improve the appeal of your home and be a sign that you’ve cared for your home.

It’s not necessarily a requirement. If you use waterproof/resistant materials, you might be ok, but adding some cover definitely can’t hurt!

That’s why we’re here! You don’t need to worry about the small things in the design, just tell use what styles/features you want and where and we’ll make it happen!

The clues in the name, an outdoor kitchen is a kitchen that’s outdoors! They’re a great way to blend your indoors with the outdoors.

No our outdoor furniture is provided by specialist partners and suppliers.

Good outdoor furniture ultimately comes down to 4 key components: Durability, comfort, functionality, and style

Wood and metal based furnishings are typically regarded as the best materials to get, due to there weather resistant nature. Teak in-particular is a great choice, due to its more forgiving nature, by that we mean that it is considered low-maintenance,  and highly weather resistant.

Covering up your outdoor furniture is entirely you decision.

However, we would always recommend that you do look to cover your outdoor furnishings, as this will help pro-long the quality of the furniture, protect it from the elements.

Despite most outdoor furniture being robust enough to withstand British weather, overtime, the quality will fade. Covering them and adding that additional layer of protection will prolong there use and your investment.
